Operation East Gate is still on the drawing boards.  There is currently no date set for the operation, but it is being planned for months in the summer or fall seasons.  This is a training exercise - US forces only.

East Gate takes tacticals a step further by introducing several strategic elements to more closely imitate a real life military operation.

This tactical operation covers 16 square miles of engagement area, includes real time radio intelligence, and takes place over a 24 to 48 hour time period.  Two offensive teams will attempt to destroy pre-determined targets at the Fort Miles defensive area.  The defensive perimeter will be established and maintained by an opposing defensive force.

This will be an invitation only non-public event and will be limited to approximately 100 personnel.

The tactical guidelines are in development and will be available for download here upon completion.

Re-enactors will be required to have paperwork on file (available for download at the Post Regulations section of this website).  There will be a briefing for all members to be conducted by the post commander and executive officer before the teams split.  After team division, the unit commanders will brief their team members on individual strategies and deploy.
