Support Structures |
The weapons of
Fort Miles were the final link in a chain of
fire support and control systems.
Without the support facilities, the guns
would be firing blind. Much like our
own bodies, Fort Miles had eyes (fire
control towers), ears (radar), and a brain
(plotting room) that all came together to
allow the arms (guns) to "throw" the
projectiles to their targets.
